Those seem to be the dado stacks I use the most.Īfter raising the rip blade and making its slot I reinstalled the original metal PC insert, turned the HT-1 face down, carefully set the fence so that the blade was exactly in the just cut HT-1 slot (just high enough to clear the HT-1) and carefully cut the slot longer to accomodate the riving knife.
I'll probably order another HT-1 and dedicate it to a 1/2 slot. Also note that all leveling and adjusting should be done before you raise the blade and cut the slot. If you do that you won't have any problems with chip out or tearing up the insert and you will achieve a perfect zero clearance slot.
